A bold challenge of consolidating all beauty and daily essentials,
prioritizing 'no use' over reuse.
In 2016, even with the operation of recycled plastics and refill systems, the actual plastic recycling rate was less than 9%. In such an environment, the most important thing was to reduce the absolute amount of plastic production, rather than focusing on recycling within that 9%. I also support reuse (refill), but I take the first step toward better alternatives.

SOLID OVER LIQUID
26%
The soap can save the world.
We can eliminate 26% of the world's waste without lifting a finger—if we make all beauty and household products solid.
It may be a challenging task, but someone has to take the first step.
When I introduced the concept of solid beauty in 2016, it was a tough challenge, but now many people are joining in.

Solid beauty contains no preservatives.
It is made from the raw ingredients themself, without water.
Did you know that over 80% of liquid products are water?
Solid beauty and household products are not inconvenient; they can deliver ingredients honestly, without preservatives.
A 100g solid bar contains about 10 times the concentration of ingredients compared to a 500ml liquid product.
It’s the healthiest and most efficient way, not the most inconvenient.
Prioritizing the elimination of plastic production comes first,
even before business, for the future.
If plastic is produced, it should be recycled as much as possible, but production must be minimized.
The reason is that while carbon neutrality is important, the plastic that is produced ultimately cannot return to nature after recycling.
It leaves behind microplastics and becomes an unnatural substance that cannot be recovered.
